Looking back on the street filled with vendors and markets.
Small armies of sales representative would line the sidewalks, passing out little pieces of paper ads. A great number of people were shopping and making deals, a lively, colorful, bustling commerce.

I was surprised to see “Taiwan” in Salvador!
This is located at the end of a street filled with vendors and markets of every conceivable product.

Salvador is filled with beautiful architecture of the Old World, showing a rich history and attention to detail. They don’t make buildings like these anymore.

My gorgeous bird’s eye view of Baia de Todos os Santos.
Ilha de Itaparica (Itaparica Island) is on the other side of the bay.

The pier on the right is the pier associated with my hotel. The Mahi-Mahi restaurant & bar is there on the pier, too. People ride a cool cable-car to get down to the pier. I swam from the right pier to the center pier. From this height, it doesn’t look like very a far distance, but it feels quite far when swimming against the waves. Of course, on the return trip, the waves carry me along, so it is much more enjoyable on the way back!

Being able to enjoy such a wonderful view every single day and night was enormously pleasurable. A cool, ocean breeze would blow into the room in the morning, and the sound of surf and people enjoying themselves was very soothing.

Sunset over Baia de Todos os Santos, taken from my hotel window.
From my privileged vantage point, I could see that every sunset is different from night to night!
